Metro TV

Samsung has launched two new handsets-Corby TV and Metro TV in India. By doing this, Samsung becomes the first in India to provide live TV services on CDMA mobile phones. The phones come with an application called MImobiTV, which allows you to enjoy live and recorded videos on your handsets. The live TV is streamed through EVDO, which provides high-speed internet with speeds up to 2.4 Mbps. At present, Samsung offers 40 live channels and 10 content-on-demand channels on these new mobiles.
Corby TV Specs

Corby TV comes with an excellent 2.8-inch TFT display and has a highly optimized content bit rate. This enables easy streaming and provides you with picture perfect TV viewing experience. Corby TV has a support for Mobile TV streaming service in both CDMA 1X and EVDO 3G mobile networks. The phone features a decent 2MP camera with video recording .The phone also comes with 32 one-touch widgets and supports 8GB Micro SD card.
Samsung is also offering free software upgrades to Corby Speed users. It is upgrading some of the features of Corby Speed to Corby TV. The Corby TV is brought to you at an affordable price of Rs 9,699.
Metro TV Specs

Samsung has also launched Metro TV in Indian market. The phone’s screen size is however less than that of Corby. It has a 2-inch TFT display and comes with dedicated music keys. It also features an advanced mobile tracker and SOS alert. The Metro TV is priced at Rs 6,999.

Samsung has also launched data usage plans for Tata and Reliance Mobile customers. It offers a Free Mobile TV Subscription to Tata users for 3 months from the date of activation. In addition to this, it provides you with 15GB data usage free per month, up to 2 months for postpaid and 10GB data usage free for 2 months on Prepaid. The Reliance Mobile users will have the same offer but the offer will be just for one month.
